Software development life cycle (SDLC) followed by GMR is briefly described in this section from project initiation, execution, testing, debugging and deployment.

The process that would be followed by GMR for ongoing projects as a part of software development life cycle is as follows:

Project Initiation: Accounts Manager consults with you and formulates the business requirements and goals. GMR would formally forward the Project Proposal by listing the discussed requirements. Once the requirements are approved, Accounts manager would identify the suitable project manager for your project and project manger would be consulting you for any technical requirements if any. After this consultation project manager would forward a project scope, with a schedule and with a user id and password for tracking the projects.

Documents to be forwarded by GMR during project initiation are

    a Project Proposal Document
    a Project Scope Analysis

Confirmations required to move ahead from you are:
a Advance amount mentioned in the project proposal document
    a Project scope confirmation email

Project Development/Execution: Project Manager works along with your team to execute the project in a phase wise manner. The project schedule is classified into different phases based on the complexity of the project. Depending on the mutually dependent and independent events resource allocation would be done so that resources are optimally utilized for the project. Project managing and tracking is done in a phase wise manner and the deadlines are tracked based on the phases.

Documents to be forwarded by GMR during project execution are:

a Project Flow Specification Document (includes flow charts and use case diagrams)
a Project Vocabulary and Technical Specification Document

    Documents Anticipated from you:
a Any change in the flow specifications or your inputs regarding the same
a Approval of the flow specification document Bouncing Documents
    a Project Tracking Sheets
    a Change Control Documents
    a Project Time sheets

Application Testing/Debugging: Tech lead working on your project studies the initiation and execution documents and verifies whether the software developers have met the requirements. Tech lead discusses the same with the GMR testing department and prepares the positive and negative test case sheets. The test case scenarios and test case sheets are circulated internally and developers would work on fixing the bugs before releasing the beta version of the software. On the release of beta version load testing is done for the application. Based on the load test results, the deployment of the application is judged. If project manager is not happy with the obtained load results, then the application is sent into the R&D division for enhancing the performance and making it more robust.
Internal Documents created by GMR during this phase are:

    a Test case scenarios
    a Developer Testing Sheets
    a Peer Testing Sheets
    a Load balancing Sheets
    Document forwarded to the client
    a Testing Passed Template
Application Deployment and Delivery: Based on the project requirements and scope, we suggest the mode of delivery, the delivery of the project is deployed in 2 versions
    a Beta Version
a Final Version – Released after 2 weeks from the release of beta version
The deployment can be made in-house or from our local data center.
Project Maintenance: Any small patch updates and any minor updating works based on the number of hours would be taken by a separate maintenance team. GMR offers a shared maintenance team for all its clients and allocates ‘x’ number of hours based on the maintenance agreement signed.
GMR also provides a dedicated maintenance team if required upon your request. For any Quality related issues, we encourage our clients directly to write to us or call us to discuss.
At the end of every project we would be forwarding a feedback form which we wish to see it filled, so that by using this we can see the different ways of improving and find the best way to serve you better. To have a little glance of some of the templates we use click here
If you are happy with our process or want to suggest any changes to make it better please fill up the contact form so that we discuss more about it.

If you are happy with the process and looking for outsourcing your needs in order to minimize the development costs, then call us directly on 949-679-3418
